Thought I’d share some feeds from some weekly jaunts in and around Seoul. This set was taken from Changdukgung Palace and Bongeunsa Temple. The latter remains one of my favorites - a disarmingly peaceful place. The set can be viewed here. Comments - good and/or bad are most welcome.

So, just when I thought the sniveling rivalry between these two culinary aficionados wouldn’t let up, it proves to be holding sway. Says here that Japan’s throwing its weight around by sparking off a new chain of restaurants altering the phonetics of several traditional dishes that are, in fact, Korean. The drama has only just begun.
It’s time [...]

Alright, lads, let’s see how we chew this one off. I’ll lob out this here article I had the misfortune of reading this morning regarding a certain New York establishment shamefully selling Korean food under the guise of its Japanese counterpart. Now, as per the statement made by Park Kun-Ho, I’m not sure I agree. [...]

Hi. Greg here. Just a word of caution when freedom of speech is up at bat - defamation? Rough waters there. Korea has one of the world’s highest divorce rates so your theories of confinement are a little jaded and, uh, way off the beaten trail I’m afraid. The sad fact remains that Mrs. Ok [...]

Hot on the heels from an endless string of forgery cases that took the peninsula by storm last year, KBS found it in themselves to question the academic validity of this one particular American college claiming that the university appeared to be a “phony school whose name was not found on any website of reliable agencies, such as the [...]

It seems one unfortunate traveler suffered a terrible fate when scaling what appeared to be a ‘non-military’ patrolled zone and open to the public.

There’s a point somewhere in this article, but, frankly, I’m hard-pressed to find it. Cell phones are not all that hard to come by in Korea. Period. As for having to be issued a new number when you replace your lost or damaged phone, it’s an issue faced by both Koreans and foreigners alike. I just signed [...]

Couldn’t help but throw this up. It seems that Dutch thieves have been taking a more conservative, albeit fool-hearted, approach to swiping road vehicles as of late. Essentially, the short article merely sheds a little light on a few figures and states that a large percentage of the nabbings occured in Amsterdam (go figure)… but scroll down to the top 10 and you’ll find [...]

Just when you thought the whole realm of cyberspace couldn’t get any more intrusive, alas we have broken some ground again! Only this time, it goes well beyond the constraints of your monitor and into your, uh, trap… The new venture even sends the kit to your doorstep prepped for action… Don’t ‘add’ me, baby - [...]

Sure this guy may be lugging around some dirty laundry, but to blatantly lambaste him for 11 hours because he’s a foreigner seems a little discriminatory and only sends countless other foreign investors fleeing at the same time.

Those wishing to get out and truly see Korea take note. Hot on the heels of the Korea Tourism Association’s second successful food tour, that brought a group of participants to Gangwon-do’s beautiful coast, KTO is asking anyone out there bitten with wanderlust to propose the third campaign slated for March of this year. The [...]
