    ehh, it’s just a sci-fi monster fight.

  • Sumo294

    Holy Crap!!!!

Talking about government sensitivity. For the movie World War Z the part in Korea was originally supposed to have been in China but the Chinese government got all touchy about it so it was moved to Korea.

Perhaps gamers will have a say about it.

  • RElgin

There should definitely be a zombie war in China but only with Chinese zombies eating CCP members.

    Good times.

I have a rule. I watch/buy anything with Kevin Spacey in it. Pay It Forward, K-Pax, Beyond the Sea, I don’t give a shit.

I don’t actively look for it, but once I find out Kevin Spacey is in it, I watch/buy it.

Not if they all flee with their ill gotten gains from the country.

What will Robert say if somebody blew up Gwanghwamum?

  • RElgin

The Korean Government likely won’t care so long as they get a cut.
If it were set in the PRC, it would not be released without edits; they can barely deal with their own history let alone fiction.

Sigh. Well, that’s it then. I have to buy a new computer now.

  • http://www.rjkoehler.com Robert Koehler

No shame in that. I’ll be upgrading to the Xbox One for this.

  • http://www.rjkoehler.com Robert Koehler

Oh, they might care. They did for Homefront, Mercenaries, Ghost Recon, etc.

I’d say I have plenty of material for the design team to work with.

  • redwhitedude

Also plenty of room to have crap that happened with the Dongdarmun to happen again.

  • redwhitedude

True but as long as it “promotes” Korea. Just like in World War Z.

Get a PC. These sort of games are better on PCs.

  • http://www.rjkoehler.com Robert Koehler

I use my computer—a Mac—for photo work. Gaming is done on the console and console only.

I thought you were a Linux guy.

  • http://www.rjkoehler.com Robert Koehler

Linux at work. Mac at home.

It just got crazier. I thought all Korean workplaces mandate the use of an obsolete version of Windows.

  • RElgin

I’m only guessing based upon the sci-fi aspect of this game and the absence of North Koreans might make it alright.

I think a game that challenges the player to get close to politicians and spew red paint upon them would be high on my “must buy” list. It would probably only run on Windows though.

There has got to be an Easter egg where you can pop a horsey dancing Psy.

  • redwhitedude

Oh I though you were going to say “I use my computer–for porn”. 😀
Get a separate windows PC. Even a second hand one that is not too old.

    http://seoulspace.co.kr/blog/2011/04/07/mac-in-korea/

This blog posting ought to summarize the issue of using PCs other than windows PC. Government mandating specific software is a bad idea. Perhaps things have changed a little for the better since this posting.

    Snoop dogg is better.
