So, the QS World University Rankings are out, and the top 10 universities are—wait for it, wait for it—a whole bunch of American and British schools!
Six Korean universities did make the top 200, though. SNU placed 35th, while KAIST and POSTECH placed 60th and 107th, respectively. Yonsei was 114th, Korea U was 145th, and Sungkyunkwan was 162nd.
Now, say what you will about Korean universities, but their international stature seems to be on the rise. In 2007, only two Korean schools—SNU and KAIST—made the top 200.
In case you were wondering, Georgetown placed 189th. Hoya Saxa.
If you’re interested in QS’s Asian university rankings, here they are. Korean top universities fair pretty well in those rankings.
