I guess nobody has to worry about pissing off the North Korean movie market

in North Korea

North Korea strikes again (HT to reader)!

First the Red Dawn remake. Now this. Not bad for a country that’ll be lucky to still be around in a decade.

Note to Hollywood: Please stop making Gerard Butler do an American accent.

So wait, did that turboprop military airplane fly from North Korea? Does it have some sort of cloaking device that allowed it to get remotely close to the White House? Did Kang (at least they actually gave Rick Yune a Korean name as a Nork terrorist this time around) have to attend a SKY university to get his job as ministrial aide? Did the production run out of money at the end and that’s why they had to blow up a 6th grade diorama version of the White House for the trailer? Oh so many questions.

By the way, this is apparently only one of two White House takeover movies that will come out this year. The other will have Jamie Foxx as the president and a likely fully clothed Channing Tatum as the secret service agent.

Die Hard 6.

Ooooo…. Arden Cho is in it as “North Korean sniper.” She’s a cutie. However, as far as hot Korean American actresses, I would have preferred Sarah Sohn.

Sarah Sohn: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aeBj-C2uOms

I remember when I first saw Sarah at a business mixer. I nearly swallowed my tie.

lol, at least North Korea actually has state of the art WW2 military tech! (Also known as nucs (US) and missiles (3rd Reich), perhaps they have Flying Fortresses too.)

NK might welcome the Hollywood movie in which NK is taken seriously. KJU might also use the film to brainwash his people for his military influence. In reality, though, NK are now more pissed off by KJU’s plastic surgery rumor: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/asia/northkorea/9822936/North-Korea-hits-out-at-sordid-Kim-Jong-un-plastic-surgery-rumours.html

I’d hit it with both of them.

Yes, but one is better than the other.

Holy shit, it’s Ashley Judd!!! Man, I remember being in love with Ashley Judd like 20 years ago. Oh, wait…I’m STILL in love with Ashley Judd!

10 que337 January 25, 2013 at 3:21 am

Her name has been incorrectly transcribed as ‘애슐리 쥬드’ in SK for the reason that English pronunciation sounds like 젖.

11 wangkon936 January 25, 2013 at 5:34 am

I hate to ruin it for you ime, but Ashley’s gonna get killed off really early in the movie. She’s the First Lady that falls into the river.

i saw this and laughed and laughed. the NORKs can barely feed themselves, much less do such an outrageous stunt. although, I do think a nifty solution to the NORK problem would be them to pull a “The Mouse That Roared” type stunt…too bad a million people might die in the progress. Sigh.

I would not describe Arden Cho as hot, cute, pretty or anything above average. She just looks very average at best. And Sarah Sohn isn’t that hot either. Above average, sure. But definitely no more than a 6 or 7.

14 imememememe January 25, 2013 at 8:58 am

If true, that’s hilarious.

Too bad you didn’t meet her in person like I did.

Balderdash madar! The Third Reich never launched a satellite into space. That’s more Sputnikesque! Downright Eisenhower administration technology, if you ask me.

19 madar January 25, 2013 at 2:35 pm

They had the 1st missles V1s and V2s, and although they didn’t have enough time to get into space the template is the same basic design and was used as the basis for the Russian and US space programs.

20 wangkon936 January 25, 2013 at 2:39 pm

Well, the V2s were single stage rockets, were they not? Multistage rockets are a bit of a more difficult technical hurdle I believe. Just ask the South Koreans. Their Naro rocket keeps failing because of the second stage.

It looks atrocious, I can’t wait to see it.

22 imememememe January 26, 2013 at 2:18 am

Her face is too boney. She won’t age well.

23 wangkon936 January 26, 2013 at 3:28 am
