N. Koreans treat Schmidt like ‘rock star.’ Or so says Bill Richardson.

North Korea’s favorite ex-governor says North Korea gave Google CEO Eric Schmidt “rock star” treatment:

“Eric Schmidt was like a rock star there, talking to people, to students to scientists, to software engineers about the importance of the Internet,” Richardson told CNN. “I think it is important that we not isolate the North Koreans.”

The former U.S. official said the “private, humanitarian” mission had three goals: to urge the regime of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un to refrain from nuclear weapons testing; to check on an American detained there; and encourage greater openness to information.

It would be easier not to isolate the North Koreans if the North Koreans stopped doing things to isolate themselves.

Toadying to blonde-haired, blue-eyed American men just seems impossible to breed out of Koreans despite even the extraordinary purification efforts north of border.

Eric Schmidt must live in a dream bubble.Like north Korea is suddenly going to give up its nuclear weapons testing and
encourage greater openness to information for it’s citizens via the internet.

That is not going to happen due to Schmidt’s visit.  NK also has it’s own agenda,
and that is to lie to Schmidt in order to get him to invest money to them.

He doesn’t have blonde hair and the Norks don’t toady up to Americans, you really should read up on the subject a little.

  • Ryu

I’ve read up on the subject as you’ve advised including consulting, “The Lineages and Histories of the Great Houses of the Seven Kingdoms,” and there it is plain as day “Eric Schmidt blonde of hair.”

  • Hamilton

If blonde actually means “brown hair going gray” then you are correct. If it means what it actually means you are wrong.  Exercise those latent google skills (get it google!) and look at few thousand pictures of the man with brown hair that is going gray.   http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eric_Schmidt  Or perhaps he is one of the few blondes in the world who dye their hair a natural shade of brown with complex grey (and getting grayer) highlights!

You still need to read up on the subject but that would appear to be wasted time in your case.
