It’s come to my attention that Disqus might not be working on Firefox, at least on some mobile devices.
Shoot me a head’s up if this is the case with you, too.
Oh, and I think I’ll be sticking with this theme. It’s responsive (i.e., changes automatically to fit mobile screens), lightweight, easy to read and lets me use banner images.

It works on the iphone but is too slow.
Discus is working on an OSX 10.6.8 configuration. It is a little sluggish though but it works.
Editing Discus on iPad is a little odd. I sometimes must exit the keyboard and re-enter so as to place the cursor elsewhere.
love the new theme and works on firefox
Yesterday, you had a readable serif font, but today, you’re back to this unreadable childish worm typeface. It is tasteless and painful to read.
Again – why change something that wasn’t broken? And especially – why change to a totalitarian monstosity like Discuss?
“monstrosity”
Firefox works fine Mac.
Gdawg likes the new theme.
Disqus works perfectly for me on multiple sites – Windows 7, Firefox 17.0.1. Maybe this user needs to update his browser.
What he said. Disqus gives me blueballs!
“As with other embedded web widgets such as like buttons, the Disqus widget acts as a web bug which tracks a users activities, even when they are not logged in, across different sites that use the Disqus commenting system.” Ditch it.
Robert, there is a problem with deleting comments from threads. It is not working on threads that I write. What is going on with permissions?
I don’t have any problem using Disqus here, obviously, but the theme seems a bit ‘bright’. Maybe the background could be a slightly darker shade of grey?
I for one, would like the option to revert to normal, full browser view on my Android device. I am currently locked to mobile version, which I think is cumbersome.
Disqus looks nice.
But I think the comment system makes long discussions impractical.
It works best for, say, news sites where there are many many commenters and discussions are short at best.
IMHO the simple chronological, numbered comment system works best for long discussions.
Hear, hear. I remember Robert’s need not to overload the server, though.
But I’m so… not psyched about the changes. Not as fun as before.
Tch, some people, there’s just no way of pleasing them eh? – I mean those who were having an orgasm at Robert’s every previous attempt to change to Disshite, and now that it’s actually happened blehing about it.
It looks and works fine on my end. Please don’t go back to WordPress comments!
This comment system is horrible. But, why don’t you open a poll for site visitors to vote on it?
Can’t do that, he’d have to go back…
Which won’t be happening.
I’ve reverted to the old version of Disqus and turned off threaded comments. Just to see how it works.
Really? I’m actually considering going with a single-column layout with all the sidebar crap at the bottom.
I think this is better. That thread with TK vs. Salaryman over Confucianism was a nightmare to read before.
Working on Firefox for me as of today. Browser was not out of date and my net hygiene was otherwise fine, as well. No idea why it had been refusing to load.
Okay, this is better.
But is there a way to get numbered comments?
It’s kind of hard to refer to previous comments if they aren’t numbered, particularly in a long thread.
It is tasteless and painful to read.

Perhaps.
