Kia to make Korean Humvees

in Korean Military

In case anyone missed it, Kia will begin supplying locally produced Humvees to the Korean military from 2016.

Nice looking prototype.

The vehicles will be produced in Kia’s Gwangju factory. The first order is for 2,000 vehicles.

Had been wondering when the Korean military would adopt a Humvee-like vehicle…

It looks like a toy car for Barbie’s bit-on-the-side, the Action Man.
Is it real or a model?

Now imagine that boy from Wangkon’s IU post getting in and out of that vehicle.

No?
What do you think Marmots Hole is?
It’s just Robert ‘Christopher Robbin’ Koehler’s large doll house I get to play with.

They’re going to make sure it has an extra two straps on the military model to haul around the hangari.

#3,

Right you are, but it’s a large doll house, as you note, so Bob’s your uncle.

Considering that the US Army is planning to replace its Humvees, and that the ROKA will be receiving 2,000 used MRAPs from the US, I think this vehicle is a bit of an anachronism.

Also, since the ROKA has the Won to buy 2,000 of these, the money could be better spent on high mobility trucks to replace the Vietnam-era trucks that still form the backbone of the ROKA tactical truck fleet and are in serious need of replacement.
