On Golden Hills
One of our own, Douglas MacDonald, is in the running for best picture in National Geographic.  His picture – On golden Hills – is truly beautiful. It would be nice if some of you would go and help him out with a vote here – at National Geographic.

All they need to mobilize those countless Netizens who voted Jeju as one of the 7 Wonders of the World…Universe???

Beautiful, like a picture you would hang on your wall.

Great pic, need to photoshop out those sunspots though.

I like the hint of humanity with the young gal (hey, it’s my imagination and I’ll use it any way I chose!) walking along the hill path, but there is something off-putting about that string of electrical towers, or whatever they are, running along the ridge-line in the background…with the one at the peak in the distance particularly jarring.

Sorry to be a buzz-kill. In any event, I still voted it a “9.”

Cool picture! I also looked at some of his other pictures in the link, and I like them all!

Wow! I just checked out his portfolio on Flickr. Those photos are incredible. When I look back at my own portfolio, it goes back to reinforcing how much of a simple hobbyist I really am.

I was trying to browse the images without voting, and I was clicking the ratings buttons to go to the “2″nd image, “3″rd image, etc. I wonder how many people are rating the images incorrectly in order to navigate the images. After I realized my (stupid) mistake, I cleared my cookies and voted the first three images 10 in order to cancel out the 2, 3, and 4 that I had erroneously rated earlier.
