Seoul education chief stripped of his position

It’s official—Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education superintendent Kwak No-hyun has been stripped of his position after the Supreme Court confirmed his one-year prison sentence.

Glad to see but I’m afraid his damage has already been done.

He’s the one who embezzled all the NSET salaries? Hang him high!

I will miss this guy. He obviously made some mistakes but he also took necessary action which made a real difference in the lives of many Korean students by getting serious about beginning to change the culture of bullying in the Korean school system.

I personally witnessed some of the changes that these policies had on both the teachers’ attitudes and the students’ behavior towards on another. I hope his replacement continues with his plan to rid the Korean school system of bullying and abuse.
