N. Korea opened coastal guns during NLL violations: report

And in more good maritime news from East Asia, the Seoul Shinmun is reporting that the North Korean military reportedly opened up some of their coastal guns during recent violations of the NLL by North Korean fishing boats.

The Joint Chiefs of Staff is complaining that North Korean fishing boats have been repeatedly violating the NLL in recent days, with one military official complaining that North Korean fishing boats are not only crossing the NLL despite warnings from South Korean patrol boats, but lingering south of the line for long periods of time.
