CNN ran a story yesterday on Busan’s “Die Hard” cop, Kim Hyun-cheol.

I will let the video speak for itself. My only commentary is: Stud!

Badass.

Cool!
But I think he’s more T.J. Hooker than Die Hard.

The subway surveillance video shows that Kim was also quite professional in subduing the runaway driver as well. An American cop would probably have been somewhat violent, punching or kicking the criminal to stop him from resisting and attempting to escape. Kim was purely focused on getting a grip on the driver’s arms and hands to put him in restraints.

Yeah–I’m old enough to remember T.J. Hooker, too. It seemed William Shatner was clinging to the hood of a car on every damn episode. Saturday Night Live even did a skit about it when Shatner hosted. But props to you, Mr. Kim! I’m curious to know what neighborhoods in Busan this all went down in.

It looked like the police officer had something in his right hand (in the subway station) that he was putting in the assailants face – before they got him down on the ground..

did he have capsicum spray?

T.J. Hooker! Old enough to remember that too. It co-stared a young Heather Locklear! Couldn’t tell which blonde was hotter of that era… Locklear or Heather Thomas of the Fall Guy. Locklear has aged better though.

25 minutes on the hood/roof? wow.

Well done, officer! Korea could certainly use more men and women like you. Maybe the disgraced Dr. Hwang Woo-suk could start his cloning business again, but for real this time.

Best comment from the CNN site: “It appears the cop was firmly anchored to the hood from the weight of his enormous balls.”

Poor cop – he already has testicular disease…

(everyones balls are the same size – only smaller or larger if diseased).
