Foul language? At an Eminem concert?

From the Chosun Ilbo:

The Korea Media Rating Board has charged the company that produced a recent concert by rapper Eminem of violating the juvenile protection law by allowing the artist to sing R-rated songs.

Eminen performed 20 songs at the concert “that were classified as harmful to juveniles and differed from the 11 songs that were submitted by Access Entertainment to be performed on stage,” the KMRB said on Wednesday. “Foul language was used during the concert, which was also harmful to youngsters.”

    ZK,

If one does not have good comprehension of Korean language, Gangnam style could sound R-rated in English:

Perhaps, like other industries, the cost of fines and lawsuits were figured in to the profit margin when they submitted the 11 songs that were deemed OK –though I am unaware of a ‘clean’ Eminem song.

One wonders after the Lady Gaga protest which is more worrisome to parents; their kids growing up to be like Gaga or Eminem?

Pat Boone is still alive, don’t know if he’s touring though.

Nobody understands English dirty words anyway, not even Europeans.

Obviously a Commie plot: the production AND the post-production company is identified as the CCCP

Sperwer (#5), the CCCP obviously out to sap and impurify all of our precious bodily fluids.

It seems there are a number of Korean teachers who aren’t too concerned about Korean kids using foul language in English. Here’s one of my student’s jackets before and after I confiscated it:

    Korea Media Rating Board?

I wonder if these are the same twits that would not air a Rain video on TV because people were running down the street in the video, seriously.

As if Korean children don’t know and use the “foul language” already.

I know Korean 9 year olds who mostly talk “foul language” in English.

My first Korean vocabulary I learnt about 10 years ago – was just a long list of Korean “foul language” – and who taught me? surprise, surprise – young Korean children.

When the bus that the delicate, little, pure flowers, that all Korean children are is driven by a guy with a gutter mouth (18, 18, 18 century) it is obviously the fault of foreigners that Korean kids have potty mouths.

@8 Is that the same ‘Korea Media Rating Board’ that thinks it is OK to show ‘American History X’ at 11am in the morning?

Bum Suk – How did you explain the meaning of Head Trucking?

  • Yu Bum Suk

I guess I should have written “Cattle” above “Trucking”.
