The kids curse a lot online

Police are investigating 10 teenage boys in regards to allegations that they used KakaoTalk to verbally abuse a female student so bad she committed suicide.

The boys, however, claim that cursing is how they usually communicate with friends on KakaoTalk, and according to the Chosun Ilbo, teenagers DO curse an awful lot online—many teens use SNS like KakaoTalk as a means to blow off steam.

The problem is that students who are bullied online have no means to stop it other than to take screen shots and show their teachers. A police official also noted that in case of the girl who committed suicide, unless they can prove the suspects intended to slander her, it would be hard to punish them.
