Sorry my brother was arrested for bribery: LMB

I’m guessing this won’t be enough:

President Lee Myung-bak on Tuesday made a public apology for his brother’s involvement in receiving bribes from savings banks.

“Fellow Koreans, disgraceful incidents have recently happened to my family and surroundings and caused so much anxiety to people,” Lee said.

“I bow my head and extend my apology for causing anxiety to people due to these incidents.”

So, either his brother has no respect for LMB or his family or he was doing work for LMB and his family.

I suppose LMB could find a tall cliff to jump off and that might give his popularity a boost as it did the former president.

Sounds like someone needed a fall guy.

It’s becoming a presidential tradition to get embroiled in scandals like this.

this is my absolute favorite part of korean politics. you just know LMB’s gonna be frog-marched once he leaves office. can you imagine something similar happening to one of our former (or current) presidents?

This has been a tradition ever since Kim Dae Jung’s brother went to jail in 2003 so that Mr. Pizza wouldn’t get audited.

:-(

Poor 2MB.

At this rate the public isn’t going to care. They’d be resigned to seeing people shuffled to jail because it is pointless to be outraged at this stuff.

No.1 Oppa,

I think you mean,

Rich 2MB :-)
