OK, I think I can go back to posting actual content now…

I apologize for the recent mess and lack of postings.

The thing is, unless I’m happy with the way things look, it annoys me so much I can’t really post until I fix it.

I was hoping to find something with a bit bigger font—something like this—but alas, I couldn’t find anything that worked for me.

My old template, Thesis, was great, but it doesn’t play well with Disqus. The Platform theme, however, looks a lot like Thesis, and works well with Disqus.

Anyway, I think it’s pretty readable.

No rotating banners—sorry, Mr. Barch—but I did put a widget in the sidebar linking the three most recent photos at my SmugMug account (which I use for my photoblog).

It’s definitely readable.  I preferred last week’s look but if I’m in the minority, I won’t pester you about it.

Why does the current banner look so heavily compressed?  Is it?

You’ll probably have to send me a screenshot. Or post one here—you can add images to your comments.

Looks good and works well on ipad. Iphone iteration still problematic: can’t get it out of mobile mode because the switch to do so isn’t operational, but when returnibf “home” after viewing an item in mobile mode, it does go to something like desktop mode, except all the sidebar stuff comes at the page bottom. The really odd thing is that “home” seems to be stuck at one of the older posts – can’t remember which offhand – and not whatever is current

Yes — completely screwed up on the iPhone, unfortunately.  Mine is stuck on the Naadam post.

Have you and Dogbertt cleaned out your caches?

7 Robert Koehler July 22, 2012 at 11:07 am

No, that looks about right. I did compress the image to under 100 Kb for loading’s sake.

Never had to do that before, but have now.  Solved the home page problem.  But the button do switch to desktop from mobile still doesn’t work
