I’ve turned off threaded comments just to see how folk like it.
Mind you, you can still respond to comments, but the responses automatically show up at the end of the thread.
I’ve also reverted back to the older version of Disqus. Let me know if that makes mobile commenting any easier.

{ 30 comments… read them below or add one }
Testing, 123.
Robert,
I was fine with the earlier thread format, but if you’re going to do away with it, then you might consider also re-introducing a numbering system for each comment.
In the past, we were able to refer to, say, “CMcH @ 4,” or whatever, when making a comment. That option is currently missing.
Cheers,
DLB
BDLB,
Thank you for being the textbook example – it beats having a communicable disease named for you, every time. And I’m in full agreement – we need a referencer, and numbered comments are the easiest, no?
Yeah. Personally, I liked it threaded, though.
Well, I’m still a little heartbroken that “Cactus” is not your real name!
Dammit!
DLB
I very much agree (with dlbarch).
I prefer threaded or numbers. Either way is fine with me so long as my comment actually shows up.
Saucy Olympic athletes are gagging for it, apparently. Except for members of a certain nationality.

Still looks threaded to me?
Ah, not after refresh.
This site is no longer readable. You have something like five different fonts in five different colours – it is simply painful to look at, like dog vomit.
Please tone it down, Mr Rodent.
The threading is relatively unimportant, at least to me.
Comments are not showing up inside of threads though they are clearly entered in the blog. This is odd.
I also do not do Disqus.
Putting the Previous Post Next Post shortcuts would be nice too.
The mobile versioon used to show the number of comments for each posting, but now it does not.
Robert, you have spambots getting through in your comments (12 month loans), etc.
This can’t wait a day for the next open thread, so as a public service to you all, I’m linking to a story about Kianna Kim’s (Mrs. Pete Rose) breast reduction.
Thank God, because I thought she herself was bringing back dirigible travel.
I can tell you this – the couple is another proof of the fall of Western civilization, despite the positive english the Minjok may have on the ball.

…
Great. Just what the States needs, more attention-whoring reality shows.
The threaded comments looked like ass on my iPone.
I see you’ve moved from Thesis to Genesis too. I’ve also been mulling a similar move, but I’ll see how Thesis 2.0 turns out when it arrives. I’d be interested in hearing your thoughts on the pros & cons of Genesis vs Thesis one day
Please bring it back to threaded. The old style was frustrating to keep track of. I don’t like having to jump back and forth when someone refers to “Hey, #37–blah, blah, blah.” It’s such an antiquated way of having an online conversation. Only Dave Sperling can get away with not keeping up with the times.
I’m inclined to agree.
Frankly, I like Thesis (I like Genesis, too, though), but it doesn’t play nice with Disqus.
If you want something from Elegant Themes I can hook you up.
Ah, that’s better.
I’m not a huge Olympics fan, but I’m definitely a fan of this. Go Oz!
I like the current format. Keep it!
I infer from your comment that there are other kinds of them – the non-attentioon-whore ones. Praytell, what are they?
I wonder if there could be an option to view comments threaded, for those who like it, and an option to view them un-threaded, as well?
You must log in to post a comment.
