And I was wondering how our gyopo readers spend their weekends…

My brother sends me this link from Migukistan.

‘K-Town,’ it would seem, is actually happening.

The horror, the horror.

I could make a very interesting listening exercise out of that.

Horrors indeed.

I’ve been trying to move away from misanthropy, but this K-Town sounds simply too good . . .

I LOL to the claim that it’s “unscripted.”  I have one degree of separation between some of the cast members and no one acts that bat shit crazy in Koreatown, Los Angeles.  No one does unless a director in the background tells people to just for the freak’in camera.

This is a good show, and if you’re all busy making fun of it, well, that’s kind of the point. Or as director/producer Mike Le told me — a little “sickness” is good for the model minority image.

Ep 1 now up!

I have to think the reason nobody picked it up (but youtube) is a lack of cred. Trashy Italian New Jerseyites like Snooky are believable and easy to find, but nobody can believe KA families and intelligence and values could have decayed that much in less than a generation.
