Our own “theKorean” is in the Korea Times (February 13, 2012). Congrats.
I thought, considering tomorrow is Valentine’s Day, that this bit was appropriate:
The most common questions the Korean receives are about Korean men.
“Hordes of non-Korean women ask about how to approach a Korean man or why their Korean boyfriends are acting in one way or another,” says the Korean, whose readers are largely from countries such as the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
I never thought of you as a relationship advice columnist……(said with a smile)

Thank you, Mr. Neff. I can’t wait to read the hate comments
Unfortunately, that’s what I end up doing when I respond to emails.
thekorean, lookin’ good! Congrats on the coverage, I remember you got some press like this a while ago.
My apologies – I should have also noted that Mr. nayaCasay was also in the news:

Robert N, it isn’t as Korea specific as thekorean’s, but here’s my piece in today’s Korea Times in response to the question, “What’s the best gift to give for Valentine’s Day?”
I think Neff has a bug, I click on his KT link and get a warning but not so with nayaCasey.
jkitchstk – that is because nayaCasey’s link was directly to his site whereas mine was to the KT site. The problem seems to be with KT
theKorean…would you be so kind as to post a link to your favorite response or question about dating in Korea, as cited by Robert N?
jkitchstk #5, right, it seems random, there are some times I click on Korea Times articles and get the “Reported Attack Page,” and sometimes I don’t.
Thanks, Robert N.
Congrats. TK, have you ever thought about compiling a bunch of your blogs into a book? There could be a section on pop culture, one on NK, one on SK politics (which most readers could just skip – though not me), one on sport, the most-50 influential musical acts, etc. I think it might have a chance of doing reasonably well.
As for the KT article: “Answering these questions are fine, however, he finds it most rewarding when he is able to help Korean adoptees or adoptive parents.”
Come on, two major grammatical errors (subject-verb agreement and comma splice) in *one* sentence. And what exactly is this supposed to mean: “As someone who knows both Korea and America, the blogger thinks the whole of Korean culture is not well-known, the reason why the little parts that are known are constantly blown out of proportion.”
If you’re going to write at a C+ first-year university level at least use a Korean name – people will give you more of a break.
I was trying to learn the hole of Korean culture – yeah, that was my problem.
TK,
I meant to offer my congratulations, but getting published by the KT? I thought you were, frankly, going to make the Laker game program cover photo first.
With pleasure. Here.
As a matter of fact, I am agent-shopping
A couple of publishers contacted me as well.
Well, one step at a time, right? Some porn first, then hopefully transitioning into a legit movie…
Congrats TK… the Korea Times only got scooped by the NY Times by a year and a half.

Keep it up, you’ve done well~
Yeah. Maybe that makes me more like a prodigy child actor who backslides into porn.
