It looks like today is going to be a good day. I think I’m going to kick off out of work a little early and head out and enjoy the weather.
- Industry experts are predicting that the “3D War” that has been going on between LG and Samsung will continue into the second half of this year. Apparently Samsung held a 34.4% percent market share in 3D TVs while LG held a mere 12.4%. However, things are looking good for LG as they have progressively climbed each previous quarter from 5.6% to 8.3% to 12.4% in the second quarter of 2011. Sony’s market share, on the other hand, fell from 27.1% to 17.5%. Why there is even a demand for 3D TVs in their current state is beyond me.
- This interesting article that examines high ranking government officials’ and politicians’ scrapes with sexual harassment/sexual assault scandals and how many of them have suffered no consequences as a result. It also goes on to describe that many men feel sympathy for these men for getting caught “doing what all men do” and expressing outrage at some of the justifications/excuses given for their acts. Worth a read if you have the time.
- A few things you need to know before buying an import car in Korea. The most interesting statistic to me: On average import car owners will spend 2.8 million KRW a year on car repairs. More than 3.5 times as much as the average domestic car owner.
- Apparently there are hundreds of students from elementary to high school who are skipping class in favor of auditions in hopes of becoming a celebrity. National Assembly members are calling for measures that would ensure that these students receive the mandatory education like other students.
- Apparently 3 maintenance staff at an apartment in Ulsan got in a fight in one of the building’s basements which led to two men dying at the hands of the third and the third hanging himself shortly thereafter.
- An elder in a Korean Christian church has been arrested for abusing his position over the past 20 years to molest at least 6 children and adolescents. He would convince members of the congregation to send the children to his home so they could receive an education in Seoul or to accompany him on overseas trips to “broaden their horizons.”
- The woes of having H cup breasts in Korea. Can someone tell me if breast sizes are measured differently in Korea? Because I have never heard of an H cup.
- A Japanese comedian marries a woman 45 years his junior. Though the pictures of his wife remind me of that digitally animated singer. Perhaps he is just another otaku.
- Apparently Kim Jong-un is following in his daddy’s footsteps. It is reported that he has already chosen his own “Pleasure Squad.” However, unlike his father who preferred short women with elegant and voluptuous Western features, Jong-un prefers women who are tall, slim, have sharp Asian features and have an interest in sports and art.

I remember dating a girl with D cups. I told her I loved ‘em and she told me that I could have them. They were an inconvenience to her and she said that they constantly “got in the way…”
I’ve heard of D. I’ve heard of double and triple D even. However, I’ve never heard of H. Does that mean there are also E, F and G cups? So confusing.
I dunno… maybe they were DD… it can get confusing.
A few things.
Yes, cup sizes are measured differently here in Korea. I don’t think there are double or triple sizes at all, and yes, it does mean that there are E, F, an G cups.
I bought a brand-new Audi two years ago and until yesterday, have had no reason to take it in for repairs. Oil changes, check-ups, and even a tune-up were all included in the price. I’ve had a little problem lately related to the battery (It isn’t keeping it’s charge, and the electric fan that comes on to cool the engine after it shuts off is draining it. There is another issue with the fan, but will wait until I hear back from the dealer mechanics before I really know what is going on.)
What makes me think that they 2.8mil KRW per year may not be that far off is that they told me that the problem with the battery “may” be due to the fact that I don’t drive it enough. 19,000km in exactly 2 years. Because the problem “may be” my fault–not driving it enough– I may have to pay for repairs that should be covered under warranty.
THAT is how foreign car owners end up paying 3.5 times the average car owner in Korea.
#4, are you leaving your car for long periods of time without driving it?
Me too. I don’t think it’s even necessary, but I could be wrong. 3D display/holograms is a very difficult field.
Korean Christian fiddling with boys (aged kindergarten~teenage) for 20 years, but none of the boys told anyone until now?
It always amazes me how Korean parents will give their children to anyone for the sake of “education”.
I guess none of Jong-un’s pleasure squad need “H cup” size, but maybe he does, considering he’s a porky-runt just like “Daddy”.
Isn’t this more proof that Korea’s got talent – all the kids bagging it for the tryouts?
#7,
You’d like to think they learned it from the Catholic priests, but I’m not so sure.
H cups are rare, but they definitely exist. Clearly you haven’t scoping enough big-boob porn recently
As for the 3D TV’s, there’s not much to watch on them (AFAIK); the chicken-and-egg issue continues. Current technology still works for the majority (or, why I still use Windows XP).
The princess finally showed her color. http://news.chosun.com/site/data/html_dir/2011/08/23/2011082300884.html?news_Head2
And, it was somewhat pinkish.
She is biting the hand that is feeding her. With the loss of Korean conservatives, to whom can she go? To Jolla Commies?
Oy Vey.
I knew that she was not bright. But this?
Even ten lifetimes cannot live this down.
No wonder her father used tanks and soldiers to grab power. He knew he could not gain power through peaceful means.
Hereditary.
The princess behaves like a Pollyanna.
All countries and many shops use different letters for cup sizes. The H- cup primarily comes from Japan though, I’ve heard otaku “h bomb” jokes quite a few times. Tbey would be roughly equal to DD sizes for most Western shops.
Even the best endowed in North America are DD. The H cup is something from the decaying minds of the pornography industry in an island nation called Japan. The porno sunjingook of the world.
i just loathe the North American fake cup, G-Na. I don’t know why South Korea continually caters to these North American entertainment industry rejects.

Interesting shopper’s comparison above between Samsung and LG’s 3D televisions.
28 Mill on an import’s average maintenance. BS! Show me the receipts! This sounds like a story bought by a local automaker’s lobbyist.
My history of owning import cars here shows not, if you stay away from the Dealer’s blessed repair facs, the price is much better
The numbers in the article reek of the include the “maintenance fees” charged by the local DMV functionaries to “maintain the special license required by your foreign car”. How convenient.
@RolyPoly (nee baduk….hehehehe):
Here’s a link to the essay in question (Subscription required, however
)
Also looks like this recent issue of Foreign Affairs has an essay by one of my favorite Cold War historians-Melvyn Leffer (I’ll ignore the Ohio State part). It’s about US grand strategy during the George W. Bush administration. I’ve been hearing for a few years now that he’s been busy researching and writing a book on such a topic. I guess this essay in Foreign Affairs is a preview of what’s to come.
Didn’t I hear something that LG had managed to come up with 3D TV without the specs.
Could make a huge diff in marketability
You wanna bet? My oldest kid’s former kindergarten teacher would have to be at least an H cup. All that on an Indonesian woman about 5’2″ tall. Dunno how the poor girl manages to stay upright!
Charles Tilly,
I read it in Korean. “New Korea”? Yet, I did not find anything new.
The Princess, obviously, did not write the essay. It smells of many writers corroborating together. Therefore, it is too well-balanced and even so that there was nothing. She was basically saying
1)If KJI behaves then SK will help NK.
2)But KJI attack SK, then SK will attack NK.
What is new in this? Why does she re-write common sense? Totally idiotic.
She just wanted to show Koreans that she was a world-class leader wannabe.
So, she write her thoughts to a foreign press, yet leave Koreans in the dark? She is just a show-off.
And, everyone is Korea got angry at her racism (she is hanging out with Americans because she think she is better than average Koreans).
Well, Princess. You ain’t got humility.
