Funny, she doesn’t look like a bagel…

by Robert Koehler on April 8, 2011

Actress/web designer Jenny Lee — a.k.a. “Bagel Girl” — has released a series of semi-nudes photographs taken in LA and Las Vegas. See also here.

In case you were wondering (I know I was), “Bagel Girl” refers to her baby face and “glamorous” figure. No, I don’t really get it, either.

Web designer? Is this for real, or is it because she set up her own naver blog without any help?

It’s not something terrible like “baby face” + “glamorous” –> “baby” + “glam” –> “ba” (bae) + “gl” –> bagel… is it? The thought just struck my mind and I shuddered.

I recall she was in the TV sitcom LA Arirang. Its claim to broadcasting fame was introducing this hilarious punch line to the Korean lexicon: “Oh my God!” Door bell rings… “Oh my God!” Out of milk… “Oh my God!” Killer stuff. Jenny Lee was the only cast member who could actually speak English. Her body is looking good; she had more a cute face than a pretty one. These stories of female celebs who fall out of the public eye to pursue studies or non-entertainment careers overseas… there’s often a back story that would make for a much more interesting TV programme.

I, too, would like to see the sites she designs. Anyone got any links?

Thanks. I’ve been wondering about that expression “베이글녀” for some time, but thought it wise not to ask my wife.

@seoulout, 이제니 was always one of my favourites, going back as far as her stint in the sitcom 나자셋 여자셋. Anytime I use that as an example as a Korean sitcom, my students all laugh at me in that “Oh teacher, you are so old!” tone. I still think she’s quite cute. And she’s rocking a better body than she had back then, too.

She promised many years ago that she was going to do a nude layout “before her body went saggy”, but it never came about. These photos will tide me over until she eventually does.

I remember 남자셋 여자셋 too. Most implausible TV programme in Korean history. At least there was a granny living there to chaperon. And to cook and tidy up and launder the clothes. Rotten kids.

I realize your knowledge of the female anatomy is second hand, but let me just say that the boobs are not the part with the hole.

Some boobs do have holes. Just google “inverted nipple”

Inverted nipples! I’d forgotten that about Korea. Never saw such a thing until I got there. I recall it was the fellas with the deformity. You have inverted nipples, Q? They get funky and musty like the navel?

I have never seen inverted nipples. I just read about it. Considering it is so rare incidence, I guess you had lots of chances to observe boobs when you were in Korea. Lucky man.
