that serves only U.S. beef.

According to the KT article:

… Lee Ki-sang is on a one-man mission to remove public doubt on U.S. beef, and the restaurateur’s tool is “L.A. galbi,” short ribs seasoned Korean style.

[...]

Last August, the 61-year-old opened his restaurant named “K-55 L.A. Galbi” in front of Osan Air Base in Pyeongtaek, south of Seoul. The base is codenamed, “K-55.”

Good luck Mr. Lee.  Smart of you to open your L.A. galbi restaurant near Osan Air Base so you can sell that poisonous, brain rotting, prion filled beef back to the Americans.

heh, and with all the fuss the Koreans made for that, that also ended up as a big fuss in Taiwan .

On the other hand htough, agricultural related product really is a rather touchy issue. and that the US keep subsidizing many of it’s agricultural products, despite being a massive net exporter in those catagories, doesn’t help the sitution.

He’s not so brave.

He wold be brave if he opened the restaurant up in a predominantly Korean neighborhood in the middle of Seoul.

There has been a place selling only US beef for at least a year near Mapo-gu Office station. They even have a big sign advertising the fact that it’s only American meat!

poisonous, brain rotting, prion filled beef..

Bias much? Grew up on that delicious free range beef . Am Creutzfeldt–Jakob free to date, but you go on eating food prepped in filthy plastic buckets on bacteria laden raw concrete floors while whining about food-as-politics. Just remember to take your annual anti-parasite meds…
