Yet Another Conspiracy “Cha Duri = Robot”

by yuna on June 15, 2010

Here is a good conspiracy theory. Cha Duri (the lovable son of Korean football hero Cha Bumkun) is the latest victim to a conspiracy theory that he is actually a robot.

Some of the evidence put forward include 1.There’s much mystery surrounding his childhood 2. His shorn hairstyle facilitates the operation by solar-power. 3.The number he used to have on his back 11 is actually a giant 콘센트 power-socket, (or USB port) – this has been upgraded to 22. (220V) 4.His father Cha Bum, goes quiet during the commentating whenever his son gets the ball. This is because he has to concentrate on controlling his robot-son remotely with a joystick. 5.Cha Duri is always smiling, even during hard training sessions. His smile corresponds to a battery-saving/screensaver mode.

For bonus here he is, making a cute fool of himself during the last world cup sitting with his dad. And some more

He’d be making better passes if he was a robot.

If he were a robot, he’d be the lovable yet malfunctioning one that causes mayhem; that’s the only was to explain his imprecise non-robotlike passes.

Yes, the quality of precision is still found to be wanting in most Korean engineering as we all know. However if you look at his leg, He does have a fan on it to counter the occasional bug of running faster than the ball.

Yup, he needs a software update if he’s a robot.

He’s playing great at the moment with his physical game. He’s been a great surprise. He has all the physical tools to be an international star like his father was (who is the greatest star that came out of Asia), but unlike his father, he has always lacked the smart sense and the instinct. That has always been his draw back.

Does he look like Obama also in real life?

Gotta say this part from the Youtube video made me laugh:

Commentating on the 2006 Japan-Australia match:
Cha: “I know Coach Hiddink well. He must have told the players during the half time break to keep their cool.”
Kim: “What was the mood like during the 2002 Korea-US match in the locker-room?”
Cha: “I was a second-stringer, so I wasn’t allowed in the locker-room.”

It’s just like a Korean cell phone.

Hardware isn’t the problem, it’s the software. :/
