And may the 46 who were lost on the Cheonan never be forgotten.

Realistically…

Forgotten …no..
Written off, probably. It’s called acceptable losses.
The families will probably receive some kind of stipend to ensure they don’t make a ruckus when the gov’t does ‘almost’ nothing about the deaths.
“Has the World Cup started yet? What sailors?”

Respect to these lads. May they get all of the recognition and justice they deserve.

History says keius is right, sadly. And so would the relatives of the four sailors the North Koreans murdered in 2002.

How about the people who were on the fishing vessel that went down while trying to help with the rescue? They ought to be remembered too, maybe even more so, since they were going beyond the call of what their job description called for.

RIP for the Cheonan’s fallen sailors.

What worries me is the negative votes this thread received: Are there some nork agents voting down rep here or are the ethno-nationalists so thick that they disagree with rudimentary weyguk support for the ROK navy in the face of minok solidarity?

I was in Tong Young yesterday. After I visited Jeseungdang at Hansando Island, I paid respect at a makeshift public memorial set up in front of the kobukson for the deceased sailors of the Cheonan.

Then I drove back to Seoul in the friggin rain storm. Freezing, wet day it was, as if Nature herself was mourning for the loss.

Why has none of you clowns ever mentioned that there’s a traffic camera like every 5 miles on the highways?

Cuz I just took the taxis or had relatives/friends drive me.

RIP these young souls. May the comfort of God help their families during this difficult time.

At least the Sunshine Policy has been canceled and (hopefully) the North will receive zero aid from the South this year… Thank god for a non-commie-sympathizer President.
