The genre, BTW, is manyo, a form of Korean music popular in the 1930s. Unfortunately, the musical form disappeared as the social atmosphere in colonial Korea grew more militaristic with the start of the Sino-Japanese War in 1937.

I didn’t think it was really you, but a bit of a coincidence in that your brother’s a professional film critic.
It is… although in the interest of clarity, my brother wasn’t a “professional” film critic, although he does work in the film industry in a different capacity.
