Between the Fort Hood shooter and this, I’m starting to think Americans aren’t very good with the whole “red flag” thing.
A note about the second link — it turns out suspected Cleveland serial killer Anthony Sowell served in the Marines in Okinawa. A woman near Camp Pendleton in California is already claiming he raped her in 1979, so it wouldn’t surprise me if something turns up in Japan, too.

the next thing will be was that he was previously an English teacher in Korea… but we missed him because he was military.
