Yet another soldier-taxi incident

by Andy Jackson on November 10, 2009

What is the deal with soldiers and taxi drivers?

A soldier who went absent without leave was caught by military police in Pocheon, Gyeonggi Province, Monday, after robbing a taxi driver.

Get ready to break out the protests calling for renegotiating the SOFA and some grandstanding by our friends over at People’s Solidarity for Participatory Democracy.

The Army identified the soldier only as Kim, a 20-year-old with the rank of private, and he was caught while going into his relative’s house Monday morning.

Oh, never mind.

Read on and you will find that at least Private Kim was nice about his thefts.

I’m sure he “has had a hard life, so we should just understand”!

He gave some dude 1ooo won to take his clothes off. I like that the ol’ “AWOL soldier” story has a gay strip-tease hook. It’s something new. anyway.
