So, Is There Porn in North Korea?

by Robert Koehler on August 26, 2009

The answer, it would seem, is yes, according to this story in the JoongAng Ilbo.

The story ain’t all porn, though — it’s about the tragedy of a country where porn, prostitution (in very desperate conditions) and home abortion exist within a closed and sexually repressive society.

If you can read Korean, please give it a read — it’s both fascinating and tragic. If someone like Korea Beat doesn’t translate it first, I’ll try to do it tonight.

I’ve come to give some attention on marmot’s unloved posts today.
Did everyone know that a groundhog is a kind of marmot?
So the film could have been called “It’s Marmot Day”
Apparently, a Woodchuck – which I always thought was a bird – is also the same animal..
Interesting…

일본에서 발매되었는데 ‘흥미 위주로는 구매할 수 없으며 연구용으로만 일부 유통한다’

Who said that?
This bit suddenly reminded me of what the Japanese say about the Mink whales – It’s for research, not for eating..
(I don’t hate JAPAN TM)

Porn in North Korea? No doubt. Kim Jong Il is supposedly a whiz with the internet…and he’s said to have the largest private collection of movies in the world.

Even Nazis and Incas had porns. Porn/Adult entertainment industry goes back to early human society. It’s lot traditional then we thought.
