Mrs. Clinton a Funny Lady, Father Smelled of Elderberries: North Korea

by Robert Koehler on July 23, 2009

North Korea does Monty Python proud with a truly inspired stream of invective:

“She has made a spate of vulgar remarks unbecoming for her position everywhere she went since she was sworn in,” North Korea’s KCNA news agency quoted a foreign ministry spokesman as saying.

It said her comments earlier in the week that North Korean behavior such as a recent spate of missile launches was like an unruly child demanding attention “suggests she is by no means intelligent.”

“We cannot but regard Mrs. Clinton as a funny lady as she likes to utter such rhetoric, unaware of the elementary etiquette in the international community.

“Sometimes she looks like a primary schoolgirl and sometimes a pensioner going shopping,” the report added.

And sometimes she looks like a small forward for the Lady Vols.

Anyway, if you want to read that vituperation in the original Korean, Newsis (my third Newsis link of the day!) has it here.

North Korean ambassador-at-large Pak Kun Gwang wasn’t particularly pleased with Mrs. Clinton, either:

Guess he’s just not a Tar Heels fan.

UPDATE: More on the silliness from the New York Times:

Mrs. Clinton said the Koreans had been intransigent in their public statements during the conference. Other senior American officials said the tone of the North’s statements was openly hostile.

Hostile statements? From North Korea? What has this world come to?

Still, Mrs. Clinton may have contributed to the chilly atmosphere in her remarks just before the meeting. “Maybe it’s the mother in me,” she said to ABC News, “the experience I’ve had with small children and teenagers and people who are demanding attention: Don’t give it to them.”

Bill, you poor bastard.

I just saw her speech on TV. It was well written. She didn’t say anything vulgar.

More North Korean BS.

I always fart in the general direction of Pyongyang. :)

According to CNN, the NORKS stormed the podium and tried to take control of it before Clinton spoke. They must have been watching the earlier coverage of he ROK National Assembly and not wanted the running dogs to upstage them in the parliamentary etiquette department. ASEAN guards had to physically remove them.

Well, I think they were responding to an earlier comment that North Korea was acting like an “unruly child”:

Nah, Pak’s thinking “I’d ride that white horse with my Taepodong until she begs for mercy!”

Or something like that.

He does appear to be staring at her ass. Reminds me a bit of this guy:

Yup; and I wonder if anyone is going to fisk her for the stupidity of that remark. At least when the shrub raised the emotional temp by talking about the axis of evil, he was stoking the fire with a true characterization about something that mattered. Clinton’s remark is a giveaway that the NORKS are getting under skin and that, for want of any substantive action or meaningful rhetoric, she’s not clever enough to abstain from simple tit-for-tat petulance.

“Reminds me a bit of this guy” Damn I’m jealous :)

@ 6, how do you judge a Miss Korea contest, anyway. They all look alike, even more so than Miss America. Regardless of nationality, they all look goofy until they get their clothes off.

“Bill you poor bastard”

Is that because YOU like to act like a little child?

I thought Hillary put it to them fucks in a perfect way. The fucks don’t like it because she is a woman i.e. “lady.” Using the word “lady” is them fucks way of demeaning women, especially in power. If one of them fucks own “ladies” spoke like that she’d be killed or sentenced to life long hard labor. It’s too bad Madeleine Albright wasn’t nothing but a Kim, Jung-il kiss ass otherwise they might have been used to such statements from a woman.

Koreans in power whether here or there = CHILDISH

Robert, I think you are becoming Koreanized.

Who is H.E. Ambassador Pak’s tailor? Biryukov the Cossack?

For what does he need the extra-long jacket sleeves ? To wipe his nose?

What’s the problem? Nothing to see here. Move on.

I wonder how Clinton sleeps.

1/ US ignored abuse of Weighurs by PRC.
2/ US ignored Iran’s crackdown on dissidents.
3/ US is ignoring 2 US citizens captured in North Korea. North Korea fired more frequently than they ever did. Getting dissed. Well, this part, they are doing good at.

The part about begging the Chinese to keep buying US T-bills and ignoring the internal human rights abuse is really something to critique about.
With a weak US state department,
It appears China and Iran have nothing to fear.
Failure of US foreign influence.

Pak Kun Gwang thinketh:

“Tight, but bulbus ass. Yellow hair. Pale face. Hell, I’d tap it.”

North Korea knows what they are doing, they are doing their best to keep up with huge pressure from USA and China right now. They are not amateur like Japan or South Korea.
If South Korea can do what North Korea does, South Korea would have wiped out Japan by now. North Korea is no joke, even China and Russia can not control this people.

16 mateomiguel July 24, 2009 at 10:54 am

I just wish that the US would have an over-the-top propaganda ministry like Pyongyang does. Why can’t I ever see any headlines saying “THE GLORIOUS UNITED STATES WILL CRUSH THE COMMUNIST PIG-DOGS WITH THE FURY OF A THOUSAND BLAZING SUNS”

And then it would be cool if we could drop, like, 1000 fusion bombs on some communist country, just to fulfill the headline.

17 Acropolis7 July 24, 2009 at 11:18 am

#16, Then that would make us Americans ruthless “imperialists”, Lord knows we would not want to be known as that by other countries.

18 colontos July 24, 2009 at 11:40 am

In the second picture down, Hill-dog looks just like Ralphie from A Christmas Story.

19 colontos July 24, 2009 at 12:08 pm

wjk in #13 is fucking dead-on, just like in the other Clinton thread. My respects.

20 Eyeflyer July 24, 2009 at 4:49 pm

Someone in NK has a wicked sense of humor. Spot on. Clinton really needs to stop campaigning for 2012 in the media and get some constructive policy through.

… and the solidarity shown here and elsewhere in the media lately for checking out ass is so endearing. I’m sure she’d be flipping her bean to all the cock warmth on this thread if she knew, really.

The US should get closer to China and forget about both Koreas. The US doesn’t need South Korea. Koreans hate America anyways.

They’ve proven that time and again. Where are the Koreans protesting over the EU FTA or toxins in Chilean pork? Where are they?

Get closer whith China and leave the Koreas to the Koreans.

22 seoulmilk July 24, 2009 at 6:42 pm

JohnT: “The US should…forget about both Koreas.”

word. you should also forget about korea and stop visiting sites that are about korea. follow you own words, bro.

JohnT: “Where are the Koreans protesting over the EU FTA or toxins in Chilean pork?”

sure, there are large segments of anti-americans. but there are many pro-americans as well. why weren’t they counterprotesting? well, they have a life. just like many conservatives in the states. you just don’t see conservatives protesting here or there, usually. i mean, there is free speech in korea. do you want the conservatives to shut those lefties down? like in china? oh, i see. you do. that’s why you want US to become closer to china. didn’t know you were a commie. actually, you’re right, fuck all koreans. let’s generalize everyone. fuck, i mean, i suppose all the cops in the US are racists, right? i mean, the Gates incident happens “time and again.” man, you must be pissed about what happened to Gates.

btw, i’m in eugene, oregon right now. wow, there are lot of loonies here. before obama got elected, i thought the people of eugene all worked for north korea’s propaganda machine. but funny, i didn’t see any protesters protesting these loonies.

23 syzdekbr July 24, 2009 at 6:54 pm

Well, the Norks certainly proved they weren’t childish with that well-crafted retort.

24 Mizar5 July 24, 2009 at 8:26 pm

I think this story should have been called

Tat for Tit

25 Alex July 24, 2009 at 8:35 pm

The KCNA news agency continued to quote the North Korean foreign ministry spokesman as saying, “No, you’re a stupid face.”

26 yuna July 25, 2009 at 7:49 am

I know it was a rather obvious one this time but maybe I should bring out a Tochari(돗자리) and get a job as a international political pundit specializing with nonsensical nations.

27 Mizar5 July 25, 2009 at 8:41 am

Where have you been, yuna!
