I recall the 포니 with some sentimental feelings. Back in the day there were gazillions of them on the streets of Seoul that were all a kind of putrid green color had “LPG” stenciled in white on the side. I slammed my pinky finger in the door of one of them getting out of the car at Yongsan late as hell on my way to school. I had to run along side the car banging on the window before the driver realized I was stuck. My pinky swelled up double size and it’s still bigger than the other to this day.
I remember my uncle’s first car, the Pony! He loved that car.
Mine was a maroon Pony II with a black leather faux convertible top. One of the first privately owned cars on the road. Used to keep the exterior clean and the points filed.
