Residents of Hannam-dong will enjoy these old photos of the neighborhood from the late 60s.

These photos brought back a lot of memories for me of the old times, but I have doubts in this time and age that they have not been photo-shopped or edited in any way.
The reason being is that for love of Jesus, I could not sp0t one single white person in a hanbok in any of the photos. which as most of us will remember from the 80s at least in my experience, was quite a common occurrence.
These days Mormon missionaries wear western clothing such as suits and such.

Your ability to find and share these kinds of photos is phenomenal. Really, truly fantastic.

I actually find the photos of 1960s and 1970s Korea more interesting than the photos of old Chosun. It helps fill out a more complete appreciation of what an extraordinary accomplishment Korea’s economic development has been.
