Kim Jong Nam doesn’t want the job

by oranckay on April 2, 2009

If some of the things he said in January left any doubt that Kim Jong Nam might be out of the running to be the next guy who regularly gets worshiped at mass games in Pyongyang, this should make it clear he doesn’t even want the job.

North Korean leader Kim Jong-il’s eldest son Kim Jong-nam has said he believe Japan’s reaction to the North’s impending rocket launch “justified” for self-protection, Fuji TV reported Tuesday.

Who’d have guessed the succession question would be answered when one of the candidates purged himself?

(Thanks Hamel.)

He’s just hoping that whoever succeeds his father does’t do him in… which is what typically happens in Korean history.
