admittedly, this is something South Korea must grow out of.
i want to know if people in Japan are steady users of pirated software, hardware as well.
it’s pretty much established that even copyright respecting countries like the US are rampant abusers of illegal file sharing.
i’m just curious to know if Japanese people are patriotic enough not to use pirated games/consoles/parts.
what country downloads the least amount of illegal files?
i buy a fair amount of amazon.com mp3′s. So far, only Wondergirls and BoA are available as Korean music that can be legally downloaded in the US.
RIAA is a dumb fuck organization. When I try to buy French/German music by paypal on 7digital.com, they used to accept my payment of roughly $2.50 per song, but now they redirect me to US version of 7digital.com, which offers shit, and nothing of the music that’s available to British consumers of European music.
it’s also nearly impossible to buy Japanese music mp3′s.
A friend of mine had his PS2 modded at the Sony Store in Seoul. Now that’s customer service!
“Nintendo”?
Do they have anything worth stealing?
Well they do make the Wii which is supposed to be a lot of fun.
A Japanese court just effectively made the R4 cart used to play pirated ROMs on the DS illegal:

Oddly enough, “wjk” made an insightful observation herein. The RIAA are a symptom of an industry that has serious problems with reality and insight.
I have witnessed Korean businesses operating on Korean government contracts using pirated software. It is a real concern.
“what country downloads the least amount of illegal files?”
