Maybe someone should open “Takeshima Hwae”
The sad fact is, that shop is probably owned by Koreans. Don’t most of them open Japanese restaurants in the States rather than Korean restaurants?
Doesn’t sound any more ironic than Korea’s own 독도 참치.

참치 is Korean, though. So from a Korean perspective, “Dokdo Chamchi” is natural.
But “Dokdo Sushi” is ironic because sushi is actually Japanese.
(Did I miss something? Is Chamchi originally a Japanese word?)
