You’ll be happy to learn that from next year, you’ll be able to use your Seoul “T-money” on public transportation throughout Korea.

The day T-Money can be used as widely as the Octopus card in HK, I’ll cheer. Until then, yawn.

I need to get out more often. I didn’t know my T-Money “dongle” DIDN’T work outside Seoul…

The inter-city use of the card would be nice (not holding my breath seeing as how I have to wait most likely 18 months).

What would be even nicer is if the taxi drivers that have the card-reader in their taxi would actually ACCEPT the damn card. Not once have I met a driver who would.

Tried a few times in the taxi in the early days, after that I wouldn’t want to use it unless I had to, and understand why the taxi drivers are reluctant. Unlike the buses and subway where its instantly authorised the process seems to takes excessively long in a taxi, when the guy could be chasing the next fare!!!
