Marmot on SeoulPodcast

Joe of SeoulPodcast (and, of course, Zenkimchi) was kind enough to invite me to throw the bull with co-host Jennifer Young, Derek of The Midnight Runner Podcast, Robert Wicks and Jennifer of Fatman Seoul about a number of subjects, including Korean education, xenophobia in Korea, Moon Geun-young and more.

Download the podcast here, or better yet, subscribe!

One thing, though — having listened to it, I realized I mistakenly characterized the arguments of one particular online journalist concerning the comfort women. He didn’t say they were being used by anti-American forces, but rather that many of them were fake. Sorry about that.

A group discussion on Korean news and events is a good idea, but this was too long and there was a lot of useless comment. Also, the weird voice transitions were pretty silly. I liked the female commenters, who seemed to be really good in this format.

Robert, if you are going to do any more of these, you need to work on reducing your vocal fillers. Wasn’t that you who was constantly saying, “You know?”

That was fun. I downloaded and listened on a long drive to NY. I like the idea of apartment buildings transformimg into war machines.

I am sure that Joe is a super guy but my goodness, having listened to a few of his podcasts he asks some terrible inane question (once he gets his inner Joe Biden out), Oi Veyyy
