Well, if you were at the Obama party at whatever cafe in Haebangchon, well, you got into Yonhap.
Congratulations.
UPDATE: Oh, lots of crying Obama folk in OhMyNews. Same gathering, I take it.
UPDATE: Being a glass-half-full sort of guy, I guess I should just be happy to see an article about Haebangchon that doesn’t involve a drug arrest.

Good grief!
I’d forgotten about all the hippies, riff raff, and ne’erdowells .
So did McCain . . .
No, seriously, what are you getting at, Mr. Flag? You seem to be inferring a lot based on a few pictures.
“…lots of crying Obama folk in OhMyNews.”
Because what’s really important about politics is lots of tears, copious tears.
http://search.japantimes.co.jp.....106a3.html
Ya’ll are a missing the point here. Are the tears important to this election? Damn right they are, if by tears we mean outward signs of passion and dedication to a candidate by young voters. For a country that has struggled in past decades with apathetic youth voters, this is very damn important.
Oh, also, this is kind of historical for black Americans. I know some of you might have missed it, but there are rumors that this Obama guy actually isn’t 100% white. Who knew?
Now can you all let the Obama supporters celebrate without your snarky comments?
Like the Dems did in 2000 and 2004? I’m pretty sure I can substitute “Nazi” with “Stalinist,” but I’m not what I’m going to substitute for “Chimp.” Obama does have pretty big ears, though — maybe “Elephant” will do. How I’ll replace the 2004 “I’m Sorry” Internet campaign, though, I haven’t figured out yet.
Hey Robert, if you voted for Bush in 2004 do you regret it or would you do the same again knowing what you know now?
Oh please. One of the reasons I come to this blog is for intelligent conservative commentary. So please don’t ply me with 4th grade “But they did it too!” logic.
Take a hint from McCain, and deal graciously with a hand you don’t like. Or even take a tip from Andy Jackson, and be dissenting without being bitter. But cut the Statler and Waldorf condescension. You’re only coming off as a sore loser.
Knowing what I know now? Or better put, having had sufficient experience to learn the folly of my ways, I’d say I’d do what I did this time — not vote. No need to reward the GOP for stupidity. Gotta make ‘em work for the votes.
“I’d say I’d do what I did this time — not vote. ”
You know, by not voting you’ve given up your right to bitch if Obama sucks, right?
I would rather have Bush for a third term than either Obama or McCain.
Exactly what has President Bush done wrong? I think there are just a bunch of ignorant Bush haters out there who hate Bush without really knowing why they hate him or have just shallowed hook, line, and sinker all of the anti-Bush propaganda other there in the media and on the Internet. That is what happens when you have a liberal-biased media who sells their souls to the devil by consiously choosing to be opinion or advocacy journalists rather than objective journalists.
If Rome had had journalists, I think the kind of journalism Americans have seen over the past four or five years would have been one of the first symptoms of her coming downfall. The kind of journalism we have had to put up with over the past few months has been especially sickening.
America seems to be moving toward socialism, and American journalists are leading the way.
Correction: swallowed…
SomeguyinKorea (#10),
People never give up their right to bitch. It is one of those inalienable ones.
America seems to be moving toward socialism
Thanks to the Reagan coalition, the corporate lobby, and the Bush Administration, Socialism is already in place. Actually, our economy has evolved into a hybrid beast that is both Capitalist and Socialist simultaneously. Profits and wealth creation remain tightly privatized while risk has become increasingly socialized. The empirical evidence of this is everywhere. According to latest statistics, income inequality of America ranks high, in between Mexico and Colombia. For the first in history, robust economic growth became decoupled from ordinary workers wage increase during the Bush Administration. CEOs of major financial institutions are continuing to give themselves multi-million dollar bonuses even as thousands of employees face layoffs. These are characteristics of banana republics not mature civil liberal democracies.
I was looking forward to seeing Mr Scribblin Politikin Long-Winded Ramblin Man in the pics.
gbevers, before you read on, if you choose to, know that I am a registered Independent who vote for either parties based on the issues. I consider myself more of a Republican, as a matter of fact, with a touch of Libertarian in me.

Anybody who still thinks W did a good job over the last 8 years must be retarded. If I had it my way, I’d lock all you retards up in an asylum. I know GOPers hate hearing that bc most of them are ignorant, rabid shit fucks but hear it again. You must all go shoot yourselves if you think Vietnam II, aka Iraq War, is going to stop the terrorists from attacking democracy.
If you love America so much, volunteer and go fight in Iraq yourself. Dont send innocent kids to die when they themselves dont know what the issues are.
If Rome had had journalists, I think the kind of journalism Americans have seen on Fox News and other right wing media over the past four or five years would have been one of the first symptoms of her coming downfall. The kind of journalism we have had to put up with to counter Obama over the past few months has been especially sickening.
It took what… over 225 years for America to see an African American president… This is an achievement in itself. A lot of people were saying that white voters wouldn’t vote for black president. Obama presidency shows what kind of place America is.
In victory, Republican’s are smug beyond endurance, as much as Dem’s are annoying beyond belief.
“Obabma!”, the young lady cried out as I walked down the street past her. So what?
“Dude, isn’t your life like a thousand times better already now that Obama’s president?” screamed the drunk guy outside of Philies as I walked past. Thank you for screaming at me, you obnoxious tit. No, my life hasn’t changed at all.
Yes, change is in the air, as the Dem’s boisterously hit the streets bellowing and bleeting their “victory” over evil. Heard that same line plenty of times in the last eight years. Centrist right versus centrist left, people willingly locking themselves into hardline political views, with candidates being commanders on one side and messiah’s on the other.
@14, are you trying to describe Nationalist Socialism?
@gbevers,
Well, I’ll try to keep this brief. There’s lots of stuff I don’t like, such as repealing all the environmental legislation passed during the Clinton administration, and creating a prison system that operates outside of US law, and general harassment of civilian critics. But the crown jewel, I guess, would be lying to the American people about the “threat” in Iraq. He deliberately portrayed Saddam as an operative of Al-Queda, which is not even remotely true. He also lied about Iraq’s capabilities in regards to WMDs to create the false impression that they were a threat to US safety.
Clinton was nearly impeached for lying about a blow job. However, Clinton’s lie did not result in the death of thousands of US troops, tens of thousands of Iraqi civilians, a severely tarnished image on the world stage, and a massively successful recruitment drive for terrorist cells.
Why Bush has not been impeached for his lies astounds me to this day.
Robert I really do not care much for Obama and especially not Bush. But as far as your “chimp” commment is concerned, i’m pretty sure Bush wins the prize hands down.
Off the top of my head? How’s ’bout created the world two largest welfare queens — the governments of Iraq and Afghanistan. How’s ’bout government spending that would have made FDR blush?
I’m proud of the way our military has handled itself in Iraq and Afghanistan, and I made the mistake of backing them both (and not because I was “lied” to), but surely, you must be wondering now if using our military and taxpayer money to conduct open-ended policing and bribing missions in backwards Third World money pits is worth the blood, treasure and political capital.
McCain — as a representative of the “invade the world, invite the world” wing of the GOP — deserved to lose — “in-the-tank” media not withstanding. But yes, in the long vacation conservatives have ahead of us, this is something that will need to be addressed seriously. Luckily, I think the left will spark this debate on their own when they try to bring back the “fairness doctrine.”
Well, if foreign nationals like yourself have the right to bitch about the American head of state, surely, so do I.
“I would rather have Bush for a third term than either Obama or McCain.”
I know you enjoy playing the devil’s advocate…but don’t you think you’re trying a bit too hard?
Dear Gerry,
You must have rose-colored (sorry, ‘coloured’) glasses on to pose the question that you did in #11- surely it’s a question of finding what things President W did right, isn’t it?
True, there hasn’t been another domestic terror attack like 9/11, but that doesn’t ameliorate things, does it?
