Criminal Info Sharing Deal Reached for Korea to Join Visa Waiver Program

by Robert Koehler on September 25, 2008

Oh, and speaking of immigration, Yonhap reports that Korean and US negotiators have reached a working-level agreement on criminal information sharing that would pave the way for Korea to join the US Visa Waiver Program.

Assuming the required measures can be completed by the end of the year, the visa waiver for Korea would go into effect from early next year.

See the English-language piece in the Korea Times here.

You gotta love this country. The old Daewoo chairman gets convicted, but walks out of the court cause it was unintentional. He shows up in a wheelchair & hospital patient garb, sure knows how to work the system. $$99 Million stashed, and it was unintentional ? I know that I can misplace my keys, but $ 99 Million ? Does this give you a criminal record ? If so, I guess no visa waiver for him to the USA ..

“I know that I can misplace my keys, but $ 99 Million ? Does this give you a criminal record ?”

Freakin’ good question.

Remember kids, you gotta check those E-2 applicants – *they* might cause real damage to Korea.

KrZ, you can become a criminal on US and Korean books?

I had some of my friends contact immigration and they said I’m still cleared for a tourist or student visa. I didn’t commit any criminal act in Korea. Unless you count screwing your mom. I did that. Repeatedly.

my mom is not in Korea. You were screwing New York Tom’s mom. How was it?

Pretty good, a tad on the dry side, but I enjoyed the screaming and crying.

1) No need to bring mothers into this.
2) Especially no need to bring New York Tom’s mom into this, given how he’s not part of the discussion.

Please. I don’t ask for much in the comment section.
