Sorry, Still Don’t Give a Shit

The US State Department NOW says North Korea isn’t putting Yongbyon back into operation, but simply moving equipment around the site.

OK, I don’t find this story completely uninteresting — the role reversal between Seoul and Washington is rather new, I guess.

i’m really surprised that no north koreans came in the spot light during the Olympics. they must be doing a lot better materially than expected. I must face reality now… we are going to be seeing this same exact news repeat itself for a long long long time…

One lost a gold medal to positive doping tests. Another was disqualified for the same reason. Maybe more a dark patch than a spotlight, I guess.

oh sorry… i meant that no north korean refugees came into the spot light trying to make a mad dash towards freedom using Olympic world coverage as means to that freedom.

    I like the login feature.

I find it interesting how in the space of seven months, North Korea completely switched sides in its old trick of playing one country off the other, going from drawing hard lines with the US while accepting unconditional aid, or manipulating things in order to get aid while violating conditions, from South Korea, to drawing hard lines with South Korea, and accepting unconditional aid (or manipulating and violating conditions to get free aid) from the US.
