And it’s also too bad that this threatens the mountains of good having the teams marching in the same group in the past few international sporting events has done.

But look on the bright side… At least, with Beijing being so close to Tokyo Disneyland, the imagineers won’t have to travel very far to give the North Korean cheerleading contingent their tuneups.

Be sure to look through the archives. My favorites are names of Korean TV shows, like the Unemployed Actors’ Wacky Hijinks Show (on 47 times a day), and the old lady’s Valentine’s Day message that she will let her husband know just how much she loves him with a big sign that reads, “I don’t love you!” The guy who made this site really understands the nuances of Korean culture.

I guess the South didn’t want to pay off the North for the joint march that is just B.S. anyway.
I’d bet my next paycheck that Kim Jong Il recieved billions of Won in secret payments for letting Norks participate in the 2(?) joint marches.
I’m sure LMB is not willing to fork over cash for such a facade now.

So many interesting talking points, Mauritius coup, Zimbabwe, etc (even forgetting Sudan) and they let the drop. Quick question was there a big cheer for the aussies or was it a backing track from our coverage hacks?

Yeah, the cheer for the Aussies was quite loud. Could be the Kevin Rudd effect, maybe the Chinese populace are informed that our PM is a Mandarin-speaking Sinophile (albeit one who has had the nerve to criticise China) hence the applause.

I thought the North didn’t want their athletes walking in with the South Koreans because they didn’t want stuff thrown at their athletes.
