There are actually actresses and models in Korea who haven’t had plastic surgery? I find that very hard to believe. Well, I guess people will attempt to prove even the most unbelievable claims in the name of nationalism.
Hummm… middle school pics offered proof…

For once I doubt this is a nationalism issue.
When I first got to Korea in the 1970’s (brace yourself, another old man story) I was not really impressed with Korean women at first but as time progressed their “innocent” charm became more alluring.
When I first returned in the late 1980’s it wasn’t the plastic surgery but the gobs of makeup the young women were wearing that was a shocker.
But I always was a sucker for the “girl next door” look!!!

Very telling.
Korean gals nowadays have very little “innocent” charm left anymore. There is even a very big difference between the Korean girls I dated in the 90’s vs. the ones today.
Many Korean American guys I know are disillusioned with just how jaded and selfish Korean women have gotten. We express this to our mothers, who grew up in the 70’s, and they have disbelieving cognitive dissonance, not being able to comprehend how much Korean women have changed mentally from their time.
Who has and who hasn’t is a popular topic, and there are lots of internet lists like this one. I was surprised to see Kim Tae-hee missing from the list, for she is celebrated as a natural beauty. She was a very pretty child with the same delicate features. As Wanggon pointed out, pics from middle school or earlier are good evidence.
Anti-fans are starting to out men, too. I think Kwon Sang-woo and Bae Yong-jun are the kings of plastic surgery. Kwon is even rumored to have chest implants.
Saw a pathetic poser with a set of plastic pecs at the gym the other day. It was hilarious when a couple of the resident Korean metal heads with whom I lift pushed him into actually getting down on the bench; he couldn’t even push up an olympic bar + 30 (=75lbs). I guess the pneumatics got in the way. LOL. On the other hand, I got mine the old-fashioned way, so I know the effort and pain the imagination of which scared the little wanker off.

PS. I ran into Kim Ha Neul and her entourage once. They took one look at my son and their jaws dropped (he’s that handsome).

I don’t laugh at people who are weak because 20 years ago I was the guy who couldn’t lift 75 pounds.
What makes me laugh, though, is insecure wankers who try to get into a pissing contest with me by attempting to lift the 400 lbs I had been doing on the bench press.
Some people have it all…not only a shockingly handsome son, but also the ability to lift his entire elementary school class at once. Some day…some day…

As for lifting my entire elementary school class…Last time I’ve had an elementary school class was in the early 80’s.
Huh? All of these women have gone under the knife. Is the blog satire? Look at the pictures, for Pete’s sake: they all have had their eyelids desecrated.

Who cares whether they are natural or man made beauty..not unless you want to mate them with expectation of have offsprings like them..besides I was told it is a urban tradition for girls to get double eyelids as graduation gift in Korea..Is it true?

I’ve heard that about 8% of Koreans (or is it 1 in 8?) are born with the epicanthic fold.
…so not everyone who has a ‘double eyelid’ got blepharoplasty.

Once I was in Kangnam and saw a group of Korean television personalities. They took one look at me and their eyes got wider than I believe their doctor’s prescribed tolerance. They had enough composure not to scream but they certainly hurried the other way.

Inexplicably, my wife thinks I’m beautiful despite it all.

12/basilides - You could easily be wrong… double eyelids can be faked with a bit of double-sided tape, sold at any cosmetics store next to the false eyelashes…
Besides, this counts as “cosmetic surgery” not “plastic surgery” and puts in the same league as tattoos and piercings…

I don’t know of too many tattoo/piercing specialists who were trained in medical school.
In Korea, if people are engaged in tattooing and haven’t gone to medical school then they are working illegally.
