Three Kidnapped in Mexico Actually Korean-Chinese

Yonhap News is reporting that three of the five Koreans detained after being rescued from an apparent kidnapping are actually ethnic Koreans with Chinese citizenship. Lacking South Korean passports, the three had submitted national identification numbers, which turned out to be false. It is alleged that the two South Korean nationals were acting as brokers for the three Korean-Chinese seeking illegal entry into the United States.

And throw in the corrupt Mexican police conniving with a Mexican human and drug trafficking mobsters, you have a strange cocktail of characters.
