We Don’t Want Your Stinkin’ Dokdo Stealin’ Condoms

by Robert Koehler on July 18, 2008

in Japan, South Korea

Just when you thought the Dokdo dispute couldn’t get any sillier

Well, at least we on this side of the East Sea don’t have high-ranking members of the ruling Grand National Party going around claiming Tsushima Island (that would be “Daema-do” for all right-thinking people) is Korean territory.

Oh, wait

LMAO

Perhaps the politicians felt like there were getting f*cked up the *ss by Japan. If so, does that mean by removing condoms that they like it bareback instead ?

Seriously, though, this is ridiculous. I understand and completely agree with Korean’s sovereignty of Dokdo and its right to defend it. However, I don’t agree with the methods some Koreans are using to defend it. Very childish and immature.

In forum speak, some people in Japan are Dokdo trolls whereas some Koreans just keep feeding them.

Word to Dokdo-frothing Koreans : don’t feed the trolls.

In other Asian countries I have lived, it was a normal mix. Some people expressed problems of racism, but overall, every foreigner to whom I spoke expressed a sense of fondness and enjoyment about China, Taiwan, Korea, Thailand, etc. However, in Japan, seriously..absoultely NOONE said anything good about it. Don’t believe me? Just take a look at any blog by a foreigner who lives in Japan compared to one who lives in Korea. You will see the truth. The blogs in Japan call it a shit, dirty, ugly

“An independent investigator for the UN says racism in Japan is deep and profound, and the government does not recognise the depth of the problem.”

Problem here is the marketing.

“no. 1 in Japan”

Who in their right mind would push a product with that slogan in Korea?
Even if Japanese stuff is becoming popular..it’s only a matter of time before a dokdo, comfort woman or something else makes the newspapers and clouds public judgement.

This new troll Nakagawa’s got a great sense of irony, especially given the recent collaborate blogging topic of expat complaints about Korea.

Nakagawa is a Korean troll who is copying comments made about Korea from Youtube and replacing the word “Korea” with “Japan”.

It’s funny how obsessed with Japan these Korean trolls are…very cute. What’s even cuter is that it’s soo easy to set them off. All you have to do is say, “I like Japan better than Korea” and they will go ballistic with a litany of racial epithets and profanity and screaming.

I think I saw a monkey behave in a similar way at the zoo when a keeper started paying more attention to the parakeet in the next cage. Hmmm…

Yes, and Axl Rose is a troll who went by the name of Bunddaegi who has been banned twice before.

To Korean consumers, Japan equals quality and consumerism beats nationalism most of the time.
