CNN on PD Notebook and Mad Cow

by WangKon936 on July 9, 2008

On July 5th, a day after bbqs and ignite fireworks and wave flags made in China day in the U.S. (formally known as American Independence Day) CNN did a quick little report on PD Notebook and Mad Cow in South Korea.

Interesting clip!

Oh, so that’s what my student was talking about when he said he saw American cows on TV that had mad cow disease. Fucking downer cows, that’s all they were. Damn, people are fucking gullible sometimes.

The only video I got was one about the 14th anniversary of Kim Il sung’s death…

I wonder why Seoul seems like one of the only places that never changes its CNN correspondent. Tokyo and Beijing don’t only employ natives (one of the other I assume Korean reporters also is in China, Mike Chinoy, the Tokyo one is not Japanese I believe as well), but Sohn Ji-ae has for what I can remember been the only one in Seoul and never changes.

July 4th is not just an American holiday. North Korea also celebrated it last year by launching missiles and this year, Iran.

Is Sohn Ji-ae still here?

If so, does CNN (or whatever her employer is) know?
