Admittedly the Mongolian and Chinese incidents are marked by police violence that is absent from the typical Korean protest. Still, I wonder what influence the Olympic torch and anti-beef rallies - as well as the recent events in nearby Mongolia and China brought about through distrust in the government - will have on future large-scale protests in Korea.
