Just some shots I took today at Gyeongbokgung Palace. Twas a good day for sky and reflections.
I really like the last one — almost Monet-esque.
Don’t forget the Flickr slideshow.

dude….good pics, but you need to go on vacation and de-kimchifi for a while. for just once i’d like to see you take a pic of something non-korean.
Remember to buy the five thousand won ticket to be able to take a tour of gyeonghyeru (the banquet pavillion in picture three above). It is well worth it once.
It was a beautiful day indeed. I remarked to a coworker shortly after exiting the Seoul tollgate and noticing Namsan Tower in the distance, “man, you sure don’t see that from this distance very often.”
The last one is nice…
No matter how many times I go or take visitors from out of town to Kyongbok Palace, it never gets boring…very serene and calm.
Those places are nice.
What is that fluid that seems to reflect the temple image? And what are those green lifeforms that are spread across the pictures? Where are all the sands, pebbles, and dry, brown vegetations?
In other news, 110F here in Tempe. I think it’s high time I visit Vancouver again before my shoes melt.
I was up on the Puk’aksan Expressway on Sunday afternoon, and climbed Buram mountain (in Nowon gu) in the morning, trying out my new camera (wheee!).
Good god, Korea’s beautiful these days!
I could see from Buram Mountain in the north all the way to Gwanak Mountain in the south.
Clear skies, long days, interesting clouds, glowing candles at night — what more could you ask for?
The real Sheldon Bumgarner, not this artificially synthesized imitation.
What great pictures! I went up to Palkokchong pavilion (in my little town) last night and serendipitously the clouds were orange as the sun went down. Yeah, it’s beautiful here…
Great pics, Rob
This last Sunday was incredibly clear. I could see far past Nam-san from half-way up Kwanack-san. I hope our weather holds longer for it is great — as these pictures confirm.
Nice pics Robert. Well done.
Good shots.
Robert, those pictures are making me homesick for Korea. Fantastic pictures!
