GTA IV: Initial Impressions

Picked the game up. Played it. I have only two words to say.

Fucking awesome.

Have you been blowing all your hard-earned on booze and lap dances, like me?

I thought it was a major step down from San Andreas. Seems like a lot less to do.

How long did it take you to finish?

I’ll buy it as long as it keeps me entertained for more than five hours.

I have had it since April 29, play about 2 hrs a night if I get the chance, just now finishing last missions. Oh and Brucie dies after eating American beef…

Seriously, try to not tell Michelle too much when having sex with her in the game. Snowstorm “cough”

Oh, it is killing me! I promised myself I wouldn’t buy it until the winter- I actually would like to be outside every once in a while during the warmer months, but that would not happen as long as I had the game…..

But I want it so badly!

I’d like to play GTAIV in one of these xbox cafes or playstation cafes I keep reading about on the internet, but I can’t find one. Just wasted the afternoon wandering in and out of PCbangs in both Chongno and Taehakno, they only have PCs. The owners look at me like I’m from Mars when I ask them if they know of any pcbangs that have xboxes or playstations. (Of course, that’s par for the course anyway.)

Where are these xbox cafes or playstation cafes I keep reading about on the internet? Wikipedia Seoul Guide says: “Internet cafes known as PC bang (PC 방) are ubiquitous in Seoul, and usually cost just 1,000 won (about 1 USD) per hour. Console gaming (Xbox, PS2) is widely available, …yada yada yada”

Widely available? Where? Could someone please give directions like a subway stop, number of exit and walking directions?

    Hook a gamer up! Thanks!

@7: you can buy the playstation real disc (not a copy) at youngsan electronics market. In the basement of the building that is to your right as you come up from the tunnel that leads to the Youngsan train station, right before the main intersection in Youngsan electronic district. It costs 80,000 won. Lots of small ‘areas’ in the big basement selling all sorts of PC games, xbox and ps2 and 3 games. Hope that helps.

John T, the game is REALLY long even without the side missions. You don’t have to worry about wrapping it up in 5 hours.

Great game concept, terrible shooting mechanics, and the sex scenes are a complete letdown.
