The article is two weeks old, but just saw it. Apparently Polina, a Misuda panelist from New Zealand took part in a candlelight vigil held on May 29th. On why she came to the vigil;
I believe I had to come, even if it meant I had to come alone. I consider all these people as my family, and after seeing them come together like this, I believe we can achieve something here.
She also lamented about US beef and “bulgogi”.
My favorite food is “bulgogi”, but the thought that it may be made from US beef makes me not want to eat it.
And she isn’t keeping her opinions offline as witnessed by her cyworld page;

If she doesn’t like US beef, well it’s her choice.

that’s fine.
she’s clueless.
she does whatever her Roh loving advisor says.
All these protesters miss one vital point. If US beef is so dangerous, why aren’t Americans and people from the 50 or so countries that DO import it not dropping like flies?
How many Koreans have contracted vCJD from the past when it WAS imported?
…but you don’t understand. Since that time Koreans have developed this mystery gene that will make them DOA if they’re even in the same vicinity as 30+ month old cows!
At this point, those folk are choosing ignorance over common sense. Not much can be done about that.
Except for stiff import taxes on their items and withdrawal of the troops that are really not needed there…
Koreans are the only people in the world that can die from US beef and electric fans.
The T-shirts she is wearing says “美人薄命” which roughly translates “A beautiful person don’t live long”.
Originally, in Chinese poem by Su Shi, it was “佳人薄命“.
She has some great management since this is cheap PR. I wonder if she will start a line of clothes now.
What an embarrasment. She’s looks and acts like a sheep.
Looks like she hit quite a few branches on the fugly tree, so I guess she has nothing to worry about and a long life of being a lemming ahead of her
I often imagine her eating Korean beef.
Her and Djamilya.
Engorging themselves until they are exhausted, then swapping places and starting again.
Sometimes Ayumi is watching.
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! What a bimbo! AHAHAHAHAHA!!
“she does whatever her Roh loving advisor says.”
“What an embarrasment. She’s looks and acts like a sheep.”
“being a lemming ahead of her”
There is something homological about these statements.
Oh, thats it, you guys appear as brainwashed as you claim Polina to be.
Now will everybody calm down and recite after me:
WE ARE ALL INDIVIDUALS
I wonder if the American “chatterbox beauty” was forced to get down on her knees and apologize for US beef?
Ewwww swlee…
We don’t want to hear your kleenex fantasies.
what a lame stupid attempt at publicity
“I often imagine her eating Korean beef.

Haha…Yes, but after they go to the bathroom and upchuck a few times. Gotta keep that girlish figure!
Do we really need to call her a “bimbo”? Regardless of her views on the matter, showing up at a beef protest hardly makes her Djamilyah.

I guess you didn’t benefit from Korean schooling….
Oh, maybe she’s being bankrolled by the NZ beef industry? U.S. beef is cheaper after all…

Robert, just wait until her new digital single, “미친쇠 나빠” comes out next week. Followed by her new late night TV show, where she discusses current events in a bikini.
No-one here has died from eating US beef. Stop calling these ridiculous, myopic protests “vigils”.
I think we can safely say we know who the “mad cow” is…
But they are, Anton - they’re all wonderful displays of democracy in action. Each one is a beautiful testament to man’s inherent right to challenge the oppressive forces of logic or reasoning.
As someone who comes from a nation who would be proper fucked without its agricultural exports, she should know better.
i said weeks ago koreans are degrading the actual meaning of vigils and what the candles are a sign of
but they are jackasses anyway so not surprised
i’m glad they have ‘misuda’; shows all the pretty ladies with korean guys. right on!
Yeah Pawi, gives you a chance to jerk off over something you’ll never have. At least you can cheer on the other members of the minjok.
‘Yeah Pawi, gives you a chance to jerk off over something you’ll never have. At least you can cheer on the other members of the minjok.’
bingo!
Sorry Robert. She isn’t just a “bimbo”. She’s an “attention starved” bimbo who is attempting to look intelligent to the Korean masses by partaking in protests that she probably does not know the consequences of. Atleast Djamila doesn’t mask her “bimbo”ness.
#23,
New Zealand exports beef to South Korea. I’ll let you connect the dots.
I realise that, but it’s the general principal that I am commenting on.
Heehee…the Kiwi conspiracy slowly creeps onward….
She displays a rather “insular” perspective, doesn’t she. But in the company of many others who share a rather “peninsular” view, this Polina’s right at home…
Robert, how could you possably take so long to find and share such an important article with us ?
I am terribly embarrassed, because now that I know Polina supports the anti-”whatever” movement, I will have to do a complete about face and retract everything I have said or felt on the matter.
She doesn’t eat American meat, but I am Canadian so I still have an outside chance, especially if I change my name to “Bulgolgi”, which really, shouldn’t be to hard to scream out, even if her mouth was full of…well Canadian Bulgolgi.
Still, I think if it happens, I’ll turn the lights off.
I am a bad man.
I don’t blame anyone criticizing her. That’s nothing compared to what angry protestors are doing to others.
She is so pretty. She has big eyes and a high nose and yellow hair.
I’m sure if she was a foreign guy protesting for the sale of US beef, she would have been arrested…and probably beaten by the protesters.
That’s funny JohnT, but also scary because of how close to the truth it is.
Does anyone know if NZ imports US Beef?
I wonder if that filly’s parents know their daughter is an “entertainer”.
I’m tempted to leave a hateful comment on her cyworld page.
Woops…just did.
She is disgustingly UGLY and sounds stupid on the show.

They allow it on a case by case basis as inspected by NZ Food Safety Agency. They were talking about adopting basically the same system as the EU and will adopt OIE guidelines as these come on line. But I don’t know how far along they have come with this.
New Zealand Regulations
In 2007 NZ exported NZ$800 million’s worth of beef to the US, but I don’t know how big the market is the other way.
Probably they’re dragging their heels.
Proposed changes
It certainly doesn’t help that a Misuda girl (the TV show that expats love to hate) is helping to cock-block US beef. Expat Psychology 101 here.
BTW, the juices of kiwi’s are excellent for marinating Korean galbi.
Another useful idiot for leftist propoganda. Similar to a Canadian teacher I met who was intending on joining the protests against moving the US base to Pyongtaek because she thought it was “unfair that the US was forcing poor people off their land for little compensation”, and being clued in by her soldier boyfriend that the she was being fed a simplistic line of propoganda by her students (except that the useful idiot Kiwi in this case hasn’t been clued in).
