MUST READ post on Increased Military at Sino-NK Border

Joshua at One Free Korea has put up a very detailed post on the recent strengthened military presence on both sides of the Chinese-North Korean border. One the North Korean side, snipers and nighttime floodlights are aimed at deterring the growing numbers of desperately hungry North Koreans from crossing the border safely. On the Chinese side, police are checking house to house and have raised the bounty on turning in NK refugees. Joshua’s reliable and timely update on the situation comes from Helping Hands.

Can’t say I’m surprised in light of the steps the CCP has taken to propagandize the games and showcase a Beijing to the world that resembles nothing like it normally is.

    #1 so true!

Sounds like the situation is becoming more desparate. That can’t be good.

not surprising and really sad. Why doesnt anybody have the balls to stand up to the butchers in Beijing?

what sounds familiar is the article stated the govt is hoarding the food aid its been getting. Sounds a lot like whats been going on in Burma huh?

Which brings me to Breen’s brilliant piece the KT this week saying that if the anti-beef protestors had had their way, Korea today would look a lot like Burma

The beef issue hits a nerve on both sides not just liberal/confucians.

The 2 koreas are probably going to be the catalyst of WW3.

And its probably going to happen in the next 20 years, before China has a chance to significantly modernize their military.

    I hate communists.

    English papers don’t count.
The general population doesn’t have anything to do with them.

    *yawn*
Been going on for years…It’s just the Chinese are getting sick of their Korean brothers and sisters committing ‘crimes’, like trying to leave hell.

#10, there’s a new famine brewing. Ready for another million North Koreans to die needlessly?
