I agree with Baduk. Period.
I too feel uncomfortable having sex with dogs or horses if they have had sex with another partner within a few month time period.
I can't help it, that's just the way I am.
However, if a woman had recently been raped, I would not care so much about tapping that. I'd get ass. That is how I am.

Dude, you can't have intercourse with anyone...except your wife.

Thus sayeth the Lord.

Netizen Kim,

I cannot have an intercourse with a woman whom I know had a sex with another man recently.

How recently? Within a couple of month.

I just can't. That is how I am.

If she were raped or coerced, then it is different. However, if she willingly had a sex with another man, then I am not sleeping with her. Period.

I am not an animal. I have to know she is for me. For me only. Not all men are like me. One can even call me names.

I have heard dogs and horses do not care as long as they can get ass. I care.

This is a fair comment...

No, it isn't. Can't speak for
Elgin, but I posted recently about poignant images of earthquake victims here.

Someone with a different opinion and perspective on things should be valued,

Yes, if that someone is thoughtful and reasoned. Our friend MME's choice of a username and his repeated attempts at provoking a contributing blogger won't earn any respect from regular commenters.

By dissing the other as brainwashed and indoctrinated only limits oneself from being otherwise."

Professional internet commentators, aka Fifty Cent Party, really exist. I didn't make up that rule. It came from a real document available online in many Chinese forums.

For a sub-blogger (pun unintended) here, Sonagi would be wise to be more accommodating to others of a different viewpoint.

Such magnanimous advice coming from a commenter who made a reference to white trash English teachers and wrote something so offensive it was deleted by the blog host, a real accomplishment in this forum.

"The PRC and the heroic PLA have once again won the hearts and minds of the people by responding quickly and bravely during a crises."

"Elgin...is morally bankrupt."

Fair (and accurate) comments, you say? Accommodating to others' viewpoints? Deserving of a serious response?

Uh.........huh.

"It’s pretty ironic how Elgy and company claim to care so much about the plight of the Chinese people, yet they’ve been mum about the recent tragedy in Sichuan. The PRC and the heroic PLA have once again won the hearts and minds of the people by responding quickly and bravely during a crises. Most unlike Bushy and his half-assed response to Katrina, the Chinese government has mobilized all its resources to help the people. "

This is a fair comment and the responses to it further illuminate the point. Someone with a different opinion and perspective on things should be valued, if not merely for the benefit of intellectual diversity, but for the opportunity they provide for us to challenge our own beliefs (which is what they generally are, no matter how we tart them up as truths). By dissing the other as brainwashed and indoctrinated only limits oneself from being otherwise.

2. Ignore them or play with them as an orca tosses a penguin into the air several times before eating it or letting it back into the ocean.

Today's Chinese language lesson:

There's a nickname for internet commenters like MME - 五毛党, or Fifty Cent Party. The proper term is 网络评论员, or Internet Commentators. Circulating on Chinese websites is a list of 16 official guidelines for these netizen PR warriors for China. #8 deals specifically with foreign web forums:

海外网站较难控制，当不能主导论坛舆论的时候，可以采用大量短贴、无实质内容贴、非理性贴进行刷屏，令版面充斥无意义的混乱，使读者失去兴趣，这样达到避免反动思想流通传播的目的。

Controlling foreign internet forums is difficult; when it isn't possible to lead the discussion, you can use short posts with no real content, irrational posts, filling the space with meaningless confusion to make readers lose interest and avoid the dissemination of reactionary ideas.

Looks like our Fifty Cent Party member is exceeding expectations. 五毛党 comments are always good for a medicinal laugh.

And here's a guideline for dealing with Fifty Cent Party comments:

1. Never take them seriously or try to argue back rationally.

2. Ignore them or play with them an orca tosses a penguin into the air several times before eating it or letting it back into the ocean.

3. Remember that our Fifty Cent Party friends are bound by 16 explicit guidelines while free commenters like ourselves are bound only by our intelligence, common sense, and decency.

Russia have won the ice hockey World Championship, dethroning the hosts Canada 5-4 in a dramatic final.

With the game tied 4-4 after three periods, Ilya Kovalchuk scored the winner in the overtime.
