Saddam Hussein’s diaries have revealed that the late dictator feared catching AIDS in prison:
When Saddam found out his U.S. military guards were also using his laundry line to dry clothes, he wrote that he demanded they stop, according to the excerpts.
“I explained to them that they are young and they could have young people’s diseases,” Saddam wrote. “My main concern was to not catch a venereal disease, an HIV disease, in this place.” He said some soldiers ignored his request.
Saddam also practiced English with his American guards and discussed women with his American doctor. Sure glad that part didn’t get translated.

It makes me sick how the media panders to this monster. I hope he got AIDS from the rope that provided him his air dance.
You mean fan death isn’t a rational idea?!
definitely a good point railway but they do this with most tyrants and dictators
I hear they fed him American beef for his last meal.
“fed him American beef”
Is that what they’re calling it these days?
He was an idiot and a monster; however, the fiasco that was his execution served only to give the impression that the Iraqi government - and, by association, their sponsers in Washington - were not above acting with brutality themselves. Not that I shed any tears over his exectution, botched as it was, but it was handled very badly and seemingly did little in terms of providing some sense of closure and/or improving the situation on the street for the average Iraqi.
